FAQs

Q: Is Vitality a multivitamin?

Not in a traditional sense. The ingredients in Vitality are based on clinical research, and include nutrients that are necessary to support women in the menopause transition. We created the product based on increased nutrient demands secondary to the drop in estrogen. Women may also have nutrient deficiencies secondary to medications (anti-depressants, birth control pills, cholesterol lowering drugs). We also know women feel increased joint pain, fatigue, and lack of energy, and are at risk for a number of health conditions such as osteoporosis and heart disease. Vitality was created to help women feel better, and support overall health.

Q: Can I take Vitality with my multivitamin?

A: Yes, however, there are many multivitamins on the market, and they are all different! The goal is to support your body with the nutrients it needs, without taking too much. You may want to check with your doctor or a Gennev practitioner to determine what additional nutrients are appropriate for you.

Q: Vitality has a strong odor, is this normal?

A: B vitamins have an unpleasant smell, there is no way around this.  The strong smell does not indicate the product is expired. B vitamins are also a bright yellow / orange, and may make your urine bright yellow as well. In addition, curcumin in Vitality has a bright orange color and has a mild scent to it.   

Q: Is Vitality good for supporting bone density?

A: While some nutrients in Vitality support bone density (Vitamin D, magnesium and B vitamins), this is not a bone specific supplement. Calcium is an important mineral in bone density – and should be taken in addition to Vitality if bone density is of concern.

Q: Do I take all 5 capsules of Vitality at once?

A: While many individuals take all 5 at once, some prefer to split the dose, or start slowly and titrate up to the full dose.

Q: Can I take less than the recommended 5 pills of Vitality?

A: Absolutely. Keep in mind though, that the doses on the label are therapeutic doses and taking less than 5 capsules will only provide a fraction of the intended dose.

Q: Is there a preferred time of day to take Vitality?

A: Because B vitamins and Vitamin D can be stimulating and interfere with sleep, we recommend taking Vitality earlier in the day – with breakfast or lunch.

Q: Does Vitality interact with any of my medications?

A: It can. Due to the number of ingredients in Vitality – it’s important to check with your physician to determine if there are any interactions with your medications.

Q: Do you take Vitality with food?

A: Yes. If you take Vitality on an empty stomach, or without adequate food, it may create stomach upset.

Q: What if I cannot swallow pills? Can I open the capsules and take them in water or other liquid?

A: Yes! You will not lose any of the benefits of Vitality by taking them out of the capsules.
